Planning for Barnstorm XXIII has begun. If you are receiving this letter it means you are being invited to be a member of this year’s Eddie Adams Workshop infamous Black Team. Like last year, we had to make some hard decisions this year and limit the number of members invited. This will mean many of us will be performing multiple tasks. This year’s workshop will be held October 8-11, 2010.
If you agree to volunteer for this year’s workshop you will need to be at the farm no later than Thursday, October 7, 2010 by 12:00 noon. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE! If you cannot arrive at the farm for the workshop by this date, and stay through the completion of the workshop on the 11th-- do not except the commitment. We have hundreds emails from folks dying to be on Black Team, so if you cannot be there please do not commit.
Preparation weekend dates at the farm are set. As a volunteer you must attend at least one of the weekends to help prepare for this year’s workshop. If you cannot commit to at least one of these weekends, please do not volunteer for Black Team. These are the dates we will be at the farm working:
- Preparation Weekend #1 August 20-22
- Preparation Weekend #2 September 10-12
- Preparation Weekend #3 October 1-3
• Post-Workshop Clean-up, October 14th will count only for Black Team members west of the Mississippi.
Please let me know by July 15th if you are interested and able to commit to being a member of the 2010 Black Team by sending an email to the address below. If I haven’t heard from you by that date, I will assume you are unable to participate. As always, thank for your passion!
Warm Regards,

Hello Black Team!
ReplyDeleteI arrive into JFK Airport on the evening of the 5th. If anyone has an extra seat, and room for a medium-sized suitcase, it would be great if I could come along for a ride to the farm. I would be happy to help with the cost of gas, and I can meet you at a convenient location.
